First through sixth grade students from Newport Heights Elementary
School and the West Newport community will have the opportunity to
participate in an after-school program beginning Sept. 10 at the West
Newport Community Center.
The program will be limited to 40 children and will feature homework
assistance with a lower child-to-staff ratio than the Newport Heights
Elementary School program offered in previous years.
Parents must register on-site from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept.
7. A $20 monthly registration fee per child is due at that time.
Parents of children attending Newport Heights Elementary may contact
the school district’s transportation department to purchase a bus pass
from Newport Heights Elementary to the West Newport Community Center at
883 W. 15th St.
(949) 644-3151.
