Temple Isaiah of Newport Beach will host an open house Selichot

NEW SERVICES

St. Matthew’s Church will begin a new fall lineup of worship services

starting Sunday at 330 W. Bay St., Suite 120, Costa Mesa. A family

service with liturgy of the word will be held at 9 a.m. A Holy Eucharist

will be held at 11 a.m. And the first Sunday of each month will be Pantry

Sunday, which is presented with Friends in Service to Humanity. People

The Newport Mesa Irvine Interfaith Council will hold its new clergy

HIGH HOLY DAYS

Temple Isaiah will begin its High Holy Days services at 8 p.m. Sept.

17 with a service and performances by a new vocal group. Two traditional

at 9:30 a.m., and the Holy Kol Nidre service will begin at 7 p.m. Sept.

PEACE WALK

Local community and faith-based organizations will gather Sept. 22 for

the eighth annual Orange County Peace Walk/Peace Jam 2001 at Triangle

Square. The free event will start at 11:30 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. There

will be musicians, an organized walk on the streets around Triangle

Square, displays, raffles and more in celebration of the United Nations’

A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

A 26-lesson study on the life of Jesus Christ titled “Journey to the

A “lectio divina” meditation group meeting will be held at 7:10 a.m.
