Girls tennis: Mesa wins opener

Costa Mesa High junior Hilary Havens swept at No. 1 singles and
senior teammate Hang Nguyen won two sets in her varsity singles debut to
lead the host Mustangs to an 11-7 nonleague girls tennis victory over
Tustin Monday.
The Mustangs’ Chi Doan and Minh-Thy Pham swept at No. 1 singles in the season opener for both schools.
Coach Joe Havens’ Mustangs host Marina today at 3:15 p.m.
