WEATHER FORECAST
Not quite as beautiful as Sunday, but the sun should make its presence
known relatively early and the high should hover in the mid-70s in Costa
Mesa and around 73 in Newport Beach. Partly cloudy skies will grace the
evening and night skies with a low of about 62 degrees. Tuesday should
bring about similar conditions, though it should be slightly warmer.

BOATING FORECAST
Morning fog will linger in the harbor, though the light southwesterly
wind will become westerly and pick up to about 10 to 15 knots, generating
typical 2-foot waves and a mixed west and south swell of 3 feet. The same
will carry on into evening and night.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow a bit stronger between
10 and 20 knots, creating waves of 1 to 3 feet. Expect the strongest
winds to blow northwest of San Nicolas Island. The winds will lighten up
into the night to 10 to 15 knots, with a northwest swell of 6 feet. Fog
will again roll in.
SURF
Expect low waves today in the form of knee- to waist-highs with the
occasional 4-footers. It’ll pick up a tad on Tuesday with 3- to 4-footers
rolling in and the occasional 5-footers. Wednesday looks to be even
better.
