WEATHER FORECAST
There’s a similar theme ringing true this week in the form of early
morning clouds breaking away for some wonderful sunshine. And that’s
expected again today with highs in the mid-70s in Costa Mesa and about 73
degrees in Newport Beach.
A few clouds will roll in and linger overnight, but the low will stay
a decent 64 degrees. Expect the same Friday. Have fun.

BOATING FORECAST
In the harbor, some subnormal southwesterly winds will blow about 10
knots in the morning, creating 1-foot waves and a mixed west and south
swell of 3 feet. Expect much of the same into the night with fog
developing.
Out farther, after some dense fog, the northwesterly winds will blow
their typical 10 to 15 knots early, generating waves of 2 feet and a
northwest swell of 8 feet. Winds will increase to 10 to 20 knots in the
evening, bringing about 2- to 3-foot waves. Dense fog will again
accumulate.
SURF
The southwest swell will continue producing some fair to good
conditions in the form of waist- to head-highs and the occasional
6-footers. The same high surf can be expected through Saturday while it
starts returning to more normal conditions Sunday.
