Residents of Huntington Beach are encouraged to apply for a vacant
spot on the city’s Historic Resources Board.
The 11-member board provides support and guidance to the City Council
on matters such as preservation of historic sites and structures and
museum facilities.
Interested persons should apply to the City of Huntington Beach,
Office of the Mayor, 2000 Main St.For more information call the Historic

Public safety awards
City employees and citizens from the community will be honored for
their public service acts at an awards luncheon. The public is invited to
the 30th annual Public Safety Awards Luncheon hosted by the Huntington
Beach Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 2 at 11:30 a.m. at the Hilton
Waterfront Beach Resort, 21100 Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.
Huntington Beach fire, police and marine safety personnel will be
recognized for their service.
Admission is $30 per person or $250 for a table of 10.
