WEATHER FORECAST
Much like on Sunday, the clouds will dominate early, but the sun will
break through in the early afternoon to produce highs in the high-70s in
Costa Mesa. In Newport Beach, the sun will make an appearance sometime
around 2 p.m. and will feel highs in the mid-70s.
Overnight, the stars will overshadow the clouds, making for a
relatively clear night. Expect warm lows in the mid-60s.

BOATING FORECAST
In the harbor, the westerly winds will blow a typical 10 to 15 knots
in the afternoon, generating waves of 2 feet and a mixed west and south
swell of 3 feet. Expect similar conditions into the night. Dense fog will
develop overnight.
Out farther, winds will be a bit stronger at 10 to 20 knots in the
afternoon, with waves in the 2- to 3-foot range. The winds will ease off
a bit to 10 to 15 knots into the evening and nights, creating 2-foot
waves. Fog will roll late.
SURF
Of all the days to hit the waves, today’s probably the day to do so.
After the last week’s decent surf, today will bring back knee- to
waist-high waves and the occasional 4-footer. The conditions will be fair
to good, but the waves will be pretty minimal. Expect larger surf to roll
in beginning Tuesday as a steep northwest swell builds. That should
continue for a few days.
