Girls tennis: Mustangs fall

The Costa Mesa High girls tennis team suffered a 13-5 nonleague

loss Monday at Ocean View, a team from the Golden West League, which the

Mustangs will join next year.

Mesa junior Hilary Havens recorded two victories in singles play,

while the doubles team of Chi Doan and Minh-Thy Pham also won two sets.

The Mustangs (1-3) will host Mission Viejo today at 3 p.m. Ocean View

dropped to 4-1.

0-6, 0-6, 2-6; T. Tran-Maddox (CM) lost, 1-6, 0-6, won, 6-1.
