Corona del Mar High’s girls tennis team was a 13-5 winner at Villa
Park in nonleague play Tuesday afternoon, highlighted by the play of
Leslie Damion and Brittany Holland in doubles, where they toyed with the
opposition.
The Sea Kings, 4-0 and ranked No. 1 in Southern California, mixed up
their lineup and eased to the victory, despite the standout singles play
of Villa Park’s Lindsey Nelson, who swept in singles.
Corona del Mar is at Estancia in its Pacific Coast League opener
Thursday, then hosts Santa Barbara in a nonleague match on Friday.
