Costa Mesa High junior Hilary Havens improved to 16-2 with a sweep of visiting Mission Viejo, and the Mustangs’ No. 1 doubles team of Hang
Nguyen and Minhthy Pham were sweep victors, as well, but Mission Viejo’s
depth proved decisive in an 11-7 nonleague girls tennis victory Tuesday,
dropping Mesa to 1-4 as it girds for Thursday’s Pacific Coast League
opener at Northwood.
