Girls tennis: Sailors back on winning track

MISSION VIEJO - The Newport Harbor High girls tennis team rebounded
from Tuesday’s 10-8 loss to Peninsula with a 12-6 nonleague victory at
Capistrano Valley Wednesday.
Newport’s Natalie Braverman won both of her singles matches, before
she was substituted by Vanessa Dunlap, who won her match.
The Khoury sisters, Carmen and Diana, swept their doubles matches to
send Capistrano Valley to 4-4 on the season.
The Sailors (3-1) will host Aliso Niguel today at 3:15 p.m.

Singles - Braverman (NH) def. Stowell, 6-0, def. Jones, 6-1,;
(substituted) Dunlap (NH) def. Williams, 6-0; Hawkins (NH) won, 6-1,

Doubles - McIntosh-Adams (NH) lost to Spalanzo-Patrick, 3-6, def.
Coswiller-Yazdanlaf, 6-0, (substituted) Nelson-Early (NH) lost to
Meller-Locke, 1-6; C. Khoury-D. Khoury (NH) won, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2;
Buder-Olson lost 1-6, 1-6, won, 6-4.
