Girls tennis: T-Wolves take down Mesa

IRVINE - The Costa Mesa High girls tennis team avoided a shutout,
but lost its Pacific Coast League opener, 16-2, at Northwood Thursday.
Mesa junior Hilary Havens earned one singles victory, while the
doubles team of Minh-Thy Pham and Hang Nguyen recorded the other win. The
Timberwolves improved to 4-3, 1-0 in the PCL.
The Mustangs (1-5, 0-1) will play at Laguna Beach Tuesday at 3 p.m.
PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE
Singles - Havens (CM) lost to Rajan 4-6, def. Nasamaran, 6-0, lost to
A. Nguyen, 2-6; C. Doan (CM) lost, 3-6, 0-6, 0-6; K. Nguyen (CM) lost,
2-6, 0-6, 0-6.
Doubles - Pham-H. Nguyen (CM) lost to McNeil-Nakamo, 5-7, lost to
Salyaput-M. Doan, 3-6, def. Amin-Chen, 6-2; Maddox-T. Tran (CM) lost 0-6,
0-6, 0-6; Hamilton-B. Tran (CM) lost, 0-6, 0-6, 0-6.
