Girls tennis: Sea Kings slam Santa Barbara

CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar High senior Brittany Reitz posted
shutouts as she swept her three singles matches, leading the Sea Kings
girls tennis team to a 16-2 nonleague victory over visiting Santa Barbara
Friday.
CdM sophomore Brittany Holland and junior Taylynn Snyder also swept in
singles as Corona del Mar went with a varied lineup in light of the
competition.
The Sea Kings (6-0), ranked No. 1 in Southern California, will return
to Pacific Coast League action at University High in Irvine on Tuesday at
3:15 p.m.

Singles - Reitz (CdM) def. L. Steele, 6-0, def. Armstrong, 6-0, def.
Peterson, 6-0; Holland (CdM) won, 6-4, 6-0, 6-1; Snyder (CdM) won, 6-2,
6-0, 6-3.
Doubles - Damion-Mutzke (CdM) def. Torner-Robertson, 6-0; (substitute)
Bryan-J. Steele (CdM) def. Cox-McClove, 6-0, def. Newton-Zwick, 6-1;
Minna-Rubenstein (CdM) lost, 4-6, won, 6-0, 7-5; Claster-Tenerelli (CdM)
lost, 5-7, won, 7-5, 6-2.
