Community college men’s and women’s cross country: Bousquet wins

SAN MATEO - Orange Coast College sophomore Ryan Bousquet won his
fourth straight cross country meet and the Pirates’ women’s team
dominated the opposition at the Crystal Springs Invitational Friday.
Bousquet finished in 21:05 on the 4.2-mile course, while OCC freshman
Joel Guzman, who fell in the first mile, finished eighth in 21:56 to help
the Pirates take second place in the invitational.
The OCC women placed five in the top 11, and the Pirates won with a
76-point margin over second-place Cabrillo.
OCC freshman Michelle Icban led the charge with a second-place finish
in 18:52. Sophomore Lindsay Allen finished fourth (19:05), Roseann Peters
took fifth (19:19), Katie Mais came in seventh (19:30) and Suzette Dinoso
capped the Pirates’ commanding performance finishing 11th (19:39).
