Group plans guided tour of Fairview Park
Costa Mesa’s Fairview Friends Committee will hold a free guided
tour of Fairview Park beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 25.
The seasonal tour, one of several held throughout the year, allows
participants to view the park in different conditions.
City officials said they hope the tours will help educate the
public about the park’s history and its master plan, which includes
eliminating nonnative plants, restoring vernal pools, protecting
wildlife and establishing a series of hiking and biking trails.
The tour will start at the south end of the main park parking lot,
along the west side of Placentia Avenue. It is expected to take 1 1/2
hours.
For more information, check with the committee’s Web site at
www.CMFairviewPark.org or call the group’s hotline at (714) 754-5698
or contact city staff liaison Carol Proctor at (714) 754-5688.
