Anteaters come up short

The UC Irvine Anteaters (0-2) lost to the 60th ranked Fresno State
Bulldogs, 4-3, at the Anteater Tennis Stadium Monday in nonconference
play.
In doubles, sophomore Brian Morton and junior Jon Endrikat quickly
defeated Hector Almada and Stefan Suta 8-2. The Anteaters also won
the No. 3 match to pick up the doubles point.
In singles, Fresno State swept the top three matches in straight
sets. Senior Sean O’Connor and Brian Morton each won their match for
the ‘Eaters. The match came down to the No. 6 match with senior Greg
Biorkman falling to Alex Krohn 6-2, 2-6, 6-2.
The Anteaters return to the court on Friday with a match against
Brigham Young at 1 p.m.
