Weekend was made for selling

I’ve been going to the Orange Coast College swap meet for many
years and I really feel that, you know, this is really an attraction,
probably one of the few that the city has to offer that is free to
the public. I think that across the street, the Orange County
Marketplace is a nice place but, you know, they do charge to get in.
Many times, you can find great bargains over at the Orange Coast
College swap meet, and it is free to get in. If you want to buy
something, OK. If you want to just take a walk through the vendor’s
line, you can do that.
I don’t really see what the question is regarding the swap meet.
Anytime you have an attraction, you create crowds. It is very
important to the community. Costa Mesa doesn’t have a whole lot. It
is very important to the community to have these attractions so
people can actually get together and do something free besides sit in
the parks.
I just really don’t know what the problem is with the swap meet.
This doesn’t make sense to me. I go to the City Council meetings. I
almost laugh at some of the problems they bring up that they are
unhappy with, reasons they are questioning the operation of the swap
meet. It is very silly, I think.

I just want to put in my vote for the OCC swap meet and I think it
definitely should keep on going. It is a wonderful environment and it
does a lot for the community and I think we should definitely keep it
going.
