Fatal hit-and-run near Bolsa Chica
Police are still looking for the driver of a vehicle involved in a
hit-and-run crash that resulted in a 21-year-old Long Beach man
losing his life near Bolsa Chica State Beach Saturday night.
The man, Cary Clay Raush, was found dead at 1:59 a.m. Sunday on
Pacific Coast Highway, near the entrance of the state beach and
Warner Avenue, police said.
The incident occurred between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Saturday, police
said.
The victim was at a party with friends at a home nearby and he
left on foot, police said. A motorist dialed 911 after seeing the
man’s body in the road.
Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call
Officer Robert Barr in the traffic-investigation unit at (714)
536-5666.
