WHAT HAPPENED:
The council adopted the resolution to move forward with the
Underground Utility Assessment District for Mystic Hills and
Terry/Alexander projects.
WHAT IT MEANS:
The construction contract will be awarded to Doty Brothers Inc. in
the amount of $1,228,375 for the Mystic Hills Project and $398,867
for the Terry/Alexander project. Councilman Wayne Baglin was absent.
WHAT HAPPENED:
The council awarded a contract for construction of urban run-off
diversions at various locations.
WHAT IT MEANS:
City staff will transfer $115,000 from the Water Quality project
account and $25,000 from the Dumond Drive Improvements project
account to the Urban Runoff Diversion account. Cody Engineering Inc.
will be awarded a contract in the amount of $434,431 for construction
of Urban Runoff Diversions at various locations.
WHAT HAPPENED:
The council heard a proposal to investigate how other cities
regulate lighting in commercial and residential neighborhoods and
develop a lighting ordinance for the city.
WHAT IT MEANS:
The city manager will explore options for regulating residential
and commercial lighting use to reduce conflicts between neighbors and
reduce effects to the community.
