IRVINE — Senior Evan Walker scored the game-winner in the 65th minute in the nonleague game at Irvine High Wednesday.

Senior Chaco Muñoz had the assist for the Sailors (6-2-1). Newport Harbor junior goalie Kyle Evans had six saves.

The Sailors face Back Bay rival Corona del Mar Friday at 5 p.m. at Estancia High.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — The Sea Kings improved to 9-0 after sophomore guard Kayla Marolt led CdM with 19 points and seven steals in the second pool-play game at the Liberty Christian Tournament Wednesday.

Katie Bergsma finished with 12 points and rebounds and Ellie Nadal had eight assists.

CdM plays Rio Hondo Prep of Arcadia Friday at 5:30 p.m.
