Eagles Tomasek, Hartwell, Watson are first-teamers

Estancia High senior Annie Tomasek and juniors Amanda Watson and Amy Hartwell each received first-team All-Orange Coast League honors in girls’ volleyball after helping the Eagles to a second-place finish in league.
Coach Jim Huffman said Tomasek, an outside hitter and a repeat first-team honoree, finished with a single-season school record 370 kills. She also contributed 298 digs, 34 service aces and 20 blocks for the Eagles.
Tomasek, Hartwell and Watson led the Eagles (19-8, 5-3 in league) to an opening-round upset of Huntington Beach in the CIF Southern Section Division I-A playoffs. Tomasek recorded 20 kills and 20 digs in the first-round win.
Hartwell, an outside hitter, finished with 191 kills, 358 digs and 46 aces.
Watson, a libero, led the team with 388 digs and added 30 aces.
Costa Mesa senior outside hitter Whitney Crosby and senior Kim Bjelland and each made the first team. Crosby is a repeat first-team selection.
Estancia junior Shona Lamb and seniors Maddie Stack and Taryn Patton were selected to the second team.
