The Laguna Beach High girls’ tennis team held its awards banquet Dec. 11 at the Mission Viejo Country Club.
The girls’ varsity Most Valuable Player was Maddie Jaeger, who also won the team’s sportsmanship award, in addition to winning the same honor in the Orange Coast League.
“Maddie is just a class act,” Gleason said. “She’s always fair with her calls, gracious with coaches and she’s uplifting to other players. She’s improved so much this year and definitely is our MVP.”
McKenna Nokes was the varsity’s Most Improved Player.
On the junior varsity level, Aislin Elkin was MVP, Kendal Cornell won the Coach’s Award, Marieke Schott was the Most Improved Player and the Breakout Award went to Kate McMahon.
