Man charged with stealing $2,500 worth Christmas decorations

A Westminster man has been charged with stealing numerous holiday and lawn decorations from his neighborhood on the border of Huntington Beach.

Vuong Ngoc Pham, 48, is charged with two felony counts of receiving stolen property.

Huntington Beach police have taken dozens of calls informing of inflatable decorations, lights and other holiday items that have been stolen in recent weeks.

Authorities said a neighbor followed Pham home after they saw him park his van in front of a victim’s house in the evening of Nov. 16. They then saw Pham removed a statue from his van, while wearing gloves. The statue was recovered that day, and is worth $80.

Pham’s house, yard and roof allegedly were full of other people’s lawn decor, much of which has been reclaimed by neighbors. The total property found exceeded $2,500, authorities said.
