Stamford, Conn.-based Champion International Corp. posted a $6-million loss in the fourth quarter because of a slump in its building-products business. Revenue for the three months jumped 56.8% to $1.69 billion from a year earlier.
For the full year, Champion reported a loss of $5.97 million. The fourth-quarter results included a one-time charge of $150 million on the sale or shutdown of some of the company’s West Coast facilities.
