The National Arbor Day Foundation presented its annual Tree City USA award Thursday to Anaheim for the city’s efforts to promote and conserve trees. According to Chris Jarvi, director of parks, recreation and community services for Anaheim, said the city was honored because of its multifaceted planting and conservation program. The program involves a tree budget of $1.2 million a year.
