Mt. SAC’s Richard Is Named SCC MVP

Mt. San Antonio College forward Larry Richard was selected the South Coast Conference’s Most Valuable Player and Mountie Coach Gene Victor was named Coach of the Year in a vote of conference coaches.
Richard averaged 16.8 points per game in leading Mt. San Antonio to a 27-4 record, the conference co-championship and a seeded berth in the state championship tournament. Mt. San Antonio’s championship was the third in Victor’s 26-year career at the Walnut school.
