The body of a 47-year-old Anaheim woman was found severely burned Sunday amid the debris of a smoldering office fire, Anaheim police said.
Police Sgt. John Haradon identified the woman as Francis Alese Huus. Haradon said the woman’s body was discovered by her husband and daughter, who summoned the Fire Department.
Fire Capt. Gary Wilder said that when firefighters responded at 3:17 p.m., they found dense smoke from a smoldering fire inside an office and warehouse complex at 230 Crescent Way.
“We had a small interior fire. We couldn’t get in so we used forcible entry,” Wilder said.
An autopsy is pending, said an Orange County coroner’s spokesman.
Meanwhile, police and fire investigators will be conducting an investigation of the incident, Haradon said.
One office and its contents were destroyed, Wilder said, who estimated damage at about $4,000.
