Ape Story Gets His Goat

I have seen much wasted space in the past, but the 93 square inches of type and photos that you devoted to the so-called party fund-raiser to provide a Hollywood (Boulevard) star for Cheeta represent an all-time worst (“Loyal Cheeta Fans Reach for a Star” by Paul Dean, July 22).
I don’t object to a few morons getting together, but I don’t think their shenanigans deserve coverage in a paper like yours.
