Willie (The Cannon) Shannon, a former light-heavyweight boxer, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for kidnaping and beating a 19-year-old woman in North Las Vegas in October, 1983.
Shannon, 33, must serve at least five years before he is eligible for parole.
