Police in Orange Friday were investigating the death of 22-year-old Antonio Arroyo, who sustained multiple internal injuries after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car near El Modena High School.
The driver of the car was not cited after the Thursday afternoon crash, Sgt. John Higley said.
At 5:53 p.m. Arroyo, who was wearing a helmet and riding east in the 3900 block of Spring Street, collided with the westbound car when it attempted to make a turn into the El Modena High School parking lot, Higley said.
Arroyo, an Orange resident, was thrown to the pavement. He was taken to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, where he died at 6:36 p.m. from lacerations to the heart, lungs, liver and aorta, Orange County Deputy Coroner Pam Luster said.
