Libyans Burn Reagan’s Effigy After CIA Story

LONDON — “Angry masses” burned an effigy of President Reagan and demonstrated in cities and towns across Libya on Tuesday to protest a reported CIA operation to undermine the regime of Moammar Kadafi, a Libyan radio broadcast, monitored in London, said.
The demonstrators carried banners with slogans such as “We Will Face Up to America With an Armed People” and “Libya Is Not Grenada.”
