SYDNEY, Australia — The floodlights on Sydney’s harbor bridge are to be switched off for two weeks next month to give people a better view of Halley’s Comet, the New South Wales state government announced Wednesday. The lights will be turned off Dec. 2-15 and again in March and April, the best periods for viewing the comet here.
