Fairfax : Legal Agency Moves Offices

Bet Tzedek, an agency providing free legal assistance to the poor, has moved to a new location at 145 S. Fairfax Ave.
The agency, whose name means “House of Justice” in Hebrew, handles landlord-tenant disputes, public benefits, wills and consumer complaints.
A spokesman said the agency does not deal with criminal cases, immigration problems, contested divorces or damage suits which private attorneys would handle on a contingency basis.
Office hours are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The agency’s telephone number is 939-0506.
