‘Goodbye’ to Benny Goodman
How happy I am, what a warm feeling came over me when I realize how far-sighted I was to have started collecting Benny Goodman albums 35 years ago.
I have nearly 30 hours of the best he ever recorded--including the Mozart Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra with Charles Munch conducting the Boston Symphony.
Now when I play my collection in the years ahead I can truly say “The king is dead, long live the king.”
