A Vista teen-ager was being sought by sheriff’s homicide detectives Sunday in connection with the shooting death of a 23-year-old man Saturday afternoon here.
A sheriff’s spokesman said Steven Dwyer of Vista was shot in the chest in the 700 block of Lemon Avenue and was taken to Tri-City Hospital in Oceanside, where he died after surgery.
The sheriff’s spokesman said a suspect in the shooting was David Reed Conger, 18, of Vista, who allegedly had had an argument with Dwyer earlier in the day and returned to confront him with a rifle.
