Woman, 8 Months Pregnant, Slain on Burbank Street

A Burbank woman who was 8 months pregnant was killed Thursday when she was shot by an unknown assailant, Burbank police said. The fetus could not be saved.
The 29-year-old woman, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was apparently walking to her car in the 300 block of North Pass Avenue at about 7:10 a.m. when she was shot, Sgt. Mike Keeffe said.
The woman was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, Keeffe said.
He said police have no suspects and know of no motive for the shooting.
