It’s No Contest After Candidate Loses Race

HONOLULU — No one won Fred Beeman’s election contest because he did not win election to the state Legislature.
The Republican candidate had offered round-trip air fare for two to Japan to the voter in the 32nd House District who came closest to predicting his margin of victory over incumbent Democratic Rep. Mazie Hirono. Because Beeman lost Tuesday, the contest was canceled.
