Cansino Hits Grand Slam as Pierce Routs Valley

Kim Cansino hit a grand slam in the fifth inning as Pierce routed Valley, 11-1, in a nonconference softball game at Pierce on Wednesday. Pauline Madrid scattered five hits, struck out five and walked none to record her third win. Pierce (3-3) had 11 hits and Cansino was 2 for 4 with four RBIs. Valley didn’t help its cause, committing five errors.
