Enterra Agrees to Sell 2 Makers of Fire Pumps

Enterra, a Houston oil-services firm controlled by Burbank-based Shamrock Holdings, said it agreed to sell two makers of fire pumps for $27 million to McBain, Rose Partners of Los Angeles.
The companies are Hale Fire Pump of Conshohocken, Pa., and Macomson Machine of Shelby, N.C. Besides fire pumps, Hale Fire Pump makes the Hurst Jaws of Life, a device frequently used by firefighters to rescue motorists trapped in their cars following traffic accidents.
Shamrock is owned by the family of Roy E. Disney, nephew of the late Walt Disney.
