Local News in Brief : Valencia Man Dies as Truck Drifts Off Road

A Valencia man was killed early Thursday when his pickup truck drifted off a road and rolled over, the California Highway Patrol said.
Charles W. Tansey, 40, was eastbound at 3:05 a.m. on Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia east of McBean Parkway when the truck drifted onto the right dirt shoulder of the road, Sgt. Andrew Kugl said.
Tansey, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the rear window of the truck, Kugl said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
