“Living in Darkness.” Agent Orange. Posh Boy (AAD). The Southern California hardcore punk scene was at its apex when Agent Orange released this debut LP in 1981. However, it’s not likely that this Fullerton trio will warrant much more than a footnote in the history of the brash, stimulating movement. The songs here (including three bonus tracks) are rather timid, lacking the fury and humor of the best hardcore. Agent Orange has since evolved into a fairly noteworthy rock band with strong surf and mod ties. Sound quality: good.
