Local News in Brief : Muddy Field Delays Circus Opening Night

The circus came to Simi Valley on Monday, but the show did not go on. Opening night of the Circus Vargas had to be postponed because a field intended for use as a parking lot was too muddy, Simi Valley police said.
Circus officials were told that the show cannot open until the field at Madera Road and Los Angeles Avenue is cleared, Lt. John Ainsworth said. The problem should be fixed in time for tonight.
