‘Hill Street Blues’ Over the Hill

NBC’s “Hill Street Blues,” the most trophied dramatic series in television history with 26 Emmy awards, has answered its last roll call and is being canceled after a seven-year run, it was announced today.
The offbeat, darkly humorous police show will have its final original telecast on May 12 with an episode entitled “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over.” The cancellation was announced by Arthur Price, president of MTM Enterprises, which produces the show.
