Unbeaten Lopez Wins on a Knockout in 8th

SACRAMENTO — Undefeated Tony Lopez of Sacramento won his 26th consecutive fight Wednesday night at Arco Arena with an eighth-round knockout of Pedro Nobasco of Los Angeles.
Referee Jack Campbell stopped the bout 48 seconds into the round after the 130-pound Lopez backed his opponent into a corner and pushed him to the canvas.
