Conditions Improve; Toddler Lands 2-Pounder
- Share via
Trout fishing has improved at most lakes and streams throughout the Sierra, partly as a result of stocking by the Department of Fish and Game, but also because of ideal weather conditions.
Two-year-old Corey Hambly of Anaheim, with a little adult help, managed to land a 2-pound brown trout at Lake Sabrina in the Bishop area, and several limits were reported at other sites throughout the range.
With the ice nearly gone and the weather warming up, the area’s back-country streams are attracting the attention of the angler wishing to avoid crowds.
