CALIFORNIA - News from July 5, 1987

Palo Alto-based Cooper Cos., formerly Coopervision Inc., said that Martin M. Koffel has resigned as president and a director of the company to become chairman and chief executive of a spinoff optometrically related products group. Cooper Cos. Chairman Parker G. Montgomery and Vice Chairman Peter Riepenhausen will handle his duties until a successor is named.

Also, E. Wyatt Cannady has been elected president of the Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery division of Cooper Cos., which develops, manufactures and sells a broad range of surgical and professional products used in optometry and plastic and reconstructive surgery. Cannady previously was vice president and general manager of Toshiba Medical Systems.
