SAN DIEGO — Arlondo Hill, a linebacker from Point Loma High School who was denied admission to San Diego State, said Monday he will attend a junior college in Utah.
Hill, a member of The Times’ All-San Diego County team, will leave Thursday for Dixie College in St. George, Utah.
Hill, who is 6-feet 2-inches and 220 pounds, had signed a letter of intent to attend SDSU but failed to meet university admission standards.
“I felt it was best that I go away to school,” Hill said. “Going to junior college was the best thing for me.”
