A22-year-old North Hollywood man was killed Sunday morning when he was thrown from his speeding car, authorities said.
The victim was driving west on Soledad Canyon Road at high speed when he failed to negotiate a right curve near Acton, about 1 miles south of Sierra Highway, California Highway Patrol officer Diane Lowery said.
The driver’s car rolled over several times, Lowery said. There were no passengers. The accident was discovered about 8:15 a.m. by a CHP officer, but it could have occurred up to six hours earlier, authorities said.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
