A burly man with a dark beard, mustache and baseball cap robbed a Barclays Bank of an undisclosed amount of cash before running away, police said Tuesday.
The unarmed man walked up to a teller at the bank in the 18000 block of Brookhurst Street at 2:42 p.m. Monday and demanded money, Fountain Valley police said.
When the teller looked to see whether he had a gun, the man raised his hands. “In fear of her safety,” she handed over the money, a police spokesman said.
No one was reported injured. The robber was described as in his late 20s to early 30s, 6 feet, 1 inch and weighing about 220 pounds.
