Taking Keith Clark’s Baton
The recent articles about Keith Clark, conductor of the Orange County Pacific Symphony Orchestra, painted a picture that is so different from what I have, I felt I must write.
I am a former employee of the organization. I worked longer as a paid employee than anyone in the history of the orchestra. I started with the box office as a part-timer, then (went) full time, then assumed the bookkeeping duties and was office manager. After the move to Santa Ana, I was laid off by a manager who brought his own staff with him.
Dr. Clark . . . was always supportive of me. He also is the hardest working man I know.
I was there through four managers. And during the in-between times it was Keith, Doris, his lovely wife, and I that held things together for weeks, sometimes months.
Please let our readers know that there are two sides of Dr. Keith Clark.
